FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is directed on synthesis of dicyclopentadiene used in manufacture of ethylene-propylene-diene rubbers, resins, polymers, etylidenenorbornene, pesticides, modified vegetable oils, and antiknock fuels. For that, C5-pyrolysis fraction is subjected to dimerization at heating to 30-80°C followed by fractionation and recovery of dicyclopentadiene concentrate. Concentrate is monomerized at 165-180°C in presence of alkyl-substituted phenols and resulting cyclopentadiene is subjected to redimerization at 40-60°C.
EFFECT: simplified process, reduced power consumption, and improved workability.
