FIELD: building materials, namely, research of properties of argillaceous raw stock, in particular, determining of plasticity of argillaceous raw stock.
SUBSTANCE: samples of argillaceous raw stock are prepared for testing in accordance to specified state standard. Percentage of C02 (D) in the sample is determined by means of any accessible method as well as percentage of thin-dispersion fractions with dimensions less than 0,001 mm (A), 0,001-0,005 mm (B) and 0,005-0,01 mm (C) in accordance to specified state standard. Absolute moisture loads of lower flow limit (WT) and rolling limit (Wp) are calculated in accordance to formulae

Wp=(A)0,68+(B+5)0,70+(C+5)0,72-[Lg(100-A-B-C)]1,60-0,38·D.
Plasticity of argillaceous raw stock (Π) is determined from following equation: Π=WT-Wp.
EFFECT: simplification of method, decreased time needed for detection, increased trustworthiness when determining plasticity of argillaceous raw stock due to prevented influence of human factor.
