SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, method includes taking samples of argillaceous soil, milling, selection of fractions less than 1 mm wide and moistening thereof until condition of think paste is reached. In the method, fluidity limit W_L is additionally determined as well as rolling and/or plasticity limit W_P, which is computed from formula W_P=k_p·W_L+0,06, where W_P - rolling and/or plasticity limit; k_p=0,45 - proportionality coefficient; W_L - fluidity limit.

EFFECT: increased trustworthiness and increased precision when determining rolling limit of argillaceous soils, lower laboriousness of the method.
