FIELD: receiver feeds of antennas, primarily large phased optically fed arrays for single-pulse radar stations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed single-pulse receiver feed has main pyramidal horn, two side, top, and bottom pyramidal horns joined through their wide edges with main-horn aperture edges, and excitation circuit with sum, E-difference, and H-difference channels. Main pyramidal horn is halved in E-plane by conducting partition whose rectangular part is protruding outward through (0.5 - 1.0)λ distance from main pyramidal horn aperture plane, where λ is wavelength in free space. Bottom and top pyramidal horns, and side pyramidal horns are interconnected in pairs through rectangular waveguide sections connected to waveguide T-joints ; waveguide T-port that functions to sum up signals of bottom and top pyramidal horns is connected to output of difference H channel through uneven power splitter.
EFFECT: optimized gain and side-lobe level for sum channel, direction-finding curve transconductance, and side lobe level for difference channels.
