FIELD: chemical technology apparatuses; titanium dioxide production.
SUBSTANCE: plasmochemical reactor used for titanium dioxide production has axially symmetric housing with water-cooled walls and outlet port at its bottom, plasma generator disposed in top part of housing, and chemical agent injectors mounted in middle area of housing, their nozzles being directed toward outlet port. Annular nozzle is provided on housing wall in the form of near-wall annular channel coaxially directed to outlet port and formed by circular bead of housing and inner wall of circular shielding-gas inlet manifold; tangentially disposed holes are provided in this wall; outlet sectional area of annular nozzle is disposed below level of outlet sections of injector nozzles uniformly spaced apart on circumference through distance H < 2/2 (D1 - D2)ctn(α/2), where H is distance between outlet section area of annular nozzle and disposition level of outlet holes of nozzles; D1 is housing diameter; D2 is diameter of injectors disposition circumference; α is injector spray angle. Reactor incorporates provision for eliminating crusts on its walls in vicinity of outlet chemical agent sprays formed by injectors.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and improved performance characteristics of reactor.
