FIELD: welding processes and equipment, possibly in different branches of industry for making units and structures containing parts of titanium or its alloy and steel.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of welding after preliminarily surfacing intermediate layer. According to one variant of invention intermediate layer is formed by multi-layer successive surfacing onto titanium or its alloys layers of niobium, at least two layers of vanadium, layer of niobium, at least two layers of copper alloy. Prepared intermediate layer is welded with steel. According to other variant intermediate layer is formed of two layers. One of said two layers is formed by successively surfacing onto titanium or its alloys layer of niobium, at least two layers of vanadium and layer of niobium. Other of said two layers is formed by surfacing onto steel at least two layers of copper alloy.
EFFECT: possibility for providing high quality welded joints of improved strength.
