FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication; interval traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, supply source is connected to one end of rail line, and receiver is connected to other end, and state of rail line is determined by character of voltage changes across receiver input. Rail line is considered occupied on condition that ratio of voltage across input of receiver Ur(i) of rail line under consideration to like voltage across input of receiver of rail line ahead Ur(i-1) is equal to or less than occupation coefficient Ko. Rail line is considered clear on condition that ratio of voltage across input of receiver Ur(i) of rail line to like voltage across input of receiver of rail line behind Ur(i-1) is equal to or greater than clearance coefficient Kc if two rail lines behind i-1 and i-2 are clear and line ahead i+1 is occupied.
EFFECT: improved safety owing to reliable control of state of rail line.
