SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agents used in neutralization of corrosive components in different media. A neutralizing agent represents a composition comprising 20-40% of monoethanolamine, 10-50% of formaldehyde solution (formalin), 10-40% of methanol, and alcohol fraction from caprolactam manufacturing, the balance. Invention provides decreasing the concentration of sulfurous compounds in petroleum and expands assortment of agents used in neutralization of these compounds in petroleum pool media and media used in petroleum production processes.
