FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at creating blades capable of controllably changing their geometry in process of operation. According to invention, in windmill containing rotor installed for rotation relative to vertical axle, blades asymmetrically secured on rotor body for turbine under action of wind force relative to vertical axle and blade turning limiters, each blade in made in form of leading flap, central part and trailing flap forming, all together, a weakly convex profile of blade symmetrical relative to its chord connecting points of profile located at maximum distance from each other. Leading flap and trailing flap are hinge connected with central part of blade on said chord of profile. Each blade is furnished with mechanism to provide coordinated turning of leading flap and trailing flap in opposite directions relative to central part of blade, and differential mechanism for turning leading flap, for instance, planetary mechanism, where shafts of leading flap and central part of blade are coaxially connected to two central wheels of differential mechanism of leading flap, and carrier of leading flap is connected to rotor body.
EFFECT: possibility of controllable changing of geometry of blades ion operation.
