FIELD: radiolocation, namely, radiolocation systems for observation of surface, based on onboard radiolocation station working in the mode of increased resolution of antenna aperture synthesizing because of Doppler frequency selection.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing three-dimensional image of surface in observation zone of onboard radiolocation station includes creating an increased resolution mode, making it possible to generate matrix A(i,j) of two-dimensional radiolocation image in form a set of amplitudes of reflected signal, recorded in i-numbered distance resolution elements and j-numbered synthesized elements for resolution by azimuth (Doppler frequency), method being different from known methods, because for each i,j element of surface image matrix, creating a radiolocation shadow, in addition to amplitude of reflection signal A(i,j) height is measured on basis of shadow length, value of which is assigned to other elements of matrix in accordance to specific rule, and thus a matrix of heights H(i,j) is formed, which in conjunction with matrix A(i,j) represents the three-dimensional image of a surface.
EFFECT: production of three-dimensional radiolocation image of surface by means of additional measurement of height in points (pixels) of image adjacent to radiolocation shadow, and assignment of measured height values to other points.
