FIELD: medicine, laparoscopic surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation refers to optimizing laparoscopic and laparoscopically assisted operations upon stomach - resections and gastrectomies. Gastric mobilization should be started along its lesser curvature. Then comes clipping and crossing left gastric artery at its bottom. One should lift the stomach with an esophageal retractor to enter omental bursa from the side of lesser omentum. Under visual control one should fulfill the clipping of short gastric arteries and left gastro-omental vessels at the site of branching from splenic vessels. The innovation enables to decrease gastric mobilization at vascular clipping in the course of gastrectomy or gastric resection.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
