FIELD: refractory materials for regenerative baths of glassmaking furnaces.

SUBSTANCE: proposed refractory material on base of magnesite and zirconium dioxide contains ZrO2 in the amount of 5 to 35 mass-% and MgO in the amount of 65 to 95 mass-% and other components in the amount of maximum 5 mass-% and SiO2 in the amount lesser than 1.0 mass-%; during operation of glassmaking furnace, reducing atmosphere is periodically created and maintained.

EFFECT: possibility of keeping regenerator lining intact.
