FIELD: metallurgy, namely designs of electrodes of electric-arc plasma reactor-separators for simultaneous production of melts of refractory metallic materials and refractory non-metallic materials and sublimates, possibly building industry branch for producing cement, chemical industry and metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: graphite-rod hollow tubular electrode includes heat exchange member slowing fall of raw material, made in the form of screw auger-meter with differential pitch and arranged in cavity of electrode; hopper for raw material component being cooling agent. Thermal pickups are arranged in electrode walls and on shaft of auger-meter along their whole length at intervals 0.2 - 0.5 m. Upper part (1/3) of electrode is made of graphite with low heat conductance and lower part (2/3) of electrode is made of graphite with high heat conductance.
EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and efficiency of electrode.
