FIELD: electric-arc plasma furnaces for melting non-metallic refractory materials, mainly for producing cement clinker, possibly in building industry branch.
SUBSTANCE: plant includes trough for raw material made of refractory material, apparatus for shaping fed to furnace raw material having two plows successively arranged by inclination angle 45 -60° relative to flow of raw material supplied on trough and by inclination angle 10 - 20° relative to vertical plane in order to provide trapezoidal cross section of materials with slopes; apparatus for taking off cement clinker out of said trough. Hearth of furnace is in the form of metallic disc horizontally rotating around its axis at automatically controlled revolution number. Furnace has segmented cross section. Raw material trough is arranged along the whole length of circle of said metallic disc, it is spaced from it by distance consisting of 2/3 of disc radius and it has width 500 - 900 mm.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process due to its continuity, absence of melt bath and due to possibility for controlling time period of product presence in high temperature zone, lowered power consumption due to optimal parameters at product presence in furnace and local heat treatment process.
