FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device is arranged in the form of waterproof wall, which protects water receiving window against the main watercourse. Waterproof wall represents a cylindrical surface, which has shape of ellipse arc in plan view. One end of ellipse arc is connected to coastal edge of the main watercourse upstream relative to water receiving window, and the second end stays free, to form narrow channel with coastal edge of the main watercourse downstream relative to water receiving window. Large axis of ellipse, part of which is ellipse arc considered in plan view, is arranged at the angle to or is parallel to plane of filtration screen of water receiving window, or it lies in plane of filtration screen. One or several through holes are made in downstream part of waterproof wall with systems of jet-forming nozzles so that through holes are located opposite to water receiving window, and jet-forming nozzles of through holes are located at the side of the main watercourse and are directed towards the main watercourse. At the same time waterproof wall faces main watercourse by its convex side of surface.

EFFECT: simplified layout of water intake, improved reliability of its operation and efficient protection of young fish, and prevention of natural and household garbage ingress into water intake.
