FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: ball lock comprises rod secured to one of the objects, bushing provided with first row of radial openings and mounted on the other object, and locking ring and first group of locking balls mounted in the first row of the radial openings and cooperating with the locking ring and rod. The working section of the rod is made, e.g., of a spherical head. The inner side of the locking ring is provided with a groove for keeping the first group of locking balls free. The bushing is provided with a collar, longitudinal groove , and the second row of the radial openings. The pusher secured to the locking ring by means of pin mounted in the longitudinal groove for permitting movement is mounted from one side of the collar. The locking insert with a shaped groove is mounted from the other side of the collar. The second group of the locking balls is set in the second row of the radial openings in the bushing and cooperates with the shaped ring groove in the locking insert and surface of the locking ring. The pusher and locking insert are pressed to the collar with compression springs. The inner side of the locking ring is provided with groove for locking the ring by means of the second group of locking balls.
