FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: mechanism for connecting and disconnecting comprises the rod provided with working surface and bearing collar secured to one member, locking ring with working surface secured to the second member, spring which is mounted on the rod and co-operates with the bearing collar of the rod, and bushing with radial openings and locking balls that are set in the openings and co-operates with the locking ring and rod. The bushing with locking ball is mounted on the rod for permitting the balls to move along the axis behind the working surface of the rod and for permitting the locking balls to be pressed with the spring to the working surfaces of the locking ring and rod when the members are interconnected. The working surfaces of the locking ring and rod are conical and satisfy the relationships proposed.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
