FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves recording and analyzing breathing noise on trachea during forced expiration maneuver done by patient. Total duration of noise process T is measured. Patient chest circumference is additionally measured in calm breathing (CC1) and at maximum inspiration (CC2). Normalized noise process duration Tn is calculated as Tn = (a*T*(CC1)b/(CC2)c)d, where a, b, c, d are the coefficients calculated by applying regression models on representative healthy people group of the same sex and the same age group with the patient. Tn exceeding threshold value, bronchial passability disorder is considered to be the case. The threshold value is defined as 82% percentile from Tn distribution in healthy people sample used in regression model analysis.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in detecting people having bronchial passability disorders.
