FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to control the state of the respiratory system of patients with obstructive pulmonary disease at home. Control is carried out by the duration of the forced exhalation noise, determined by the envelope of the noise process in the frequency band of 200–2,000 Hz. Use an acoustic sensor, the sensitive element of which is the sound pressure transducer. Sensor is installed without contact with the human body outside the exhaled airflow zone. Record the sound pressure created by the noise of forced expiration. Then, the duration of the forced exhalation noise is calculated. Deviation of the duration indicator from the results of the background measurement in the state of remission of the disease is evaluated. Obtained deviation is compared with the individual threshold, determined by a series of background measurements. If the deviation of the duration of the noise of an individual threshold is exceeded, a decision is made to worsen the state of the respiratory system.
EFFECT: method allows simple, electrically safe, objective and non-invasive monitoring of the respiratory system of patients with obstructive pulmonary disease at home by using an acoustic sensor with a sound pressure transducer, installation of the sensor without contact with the human body outside the exhaled air flow zone and evaluation of the most significant parameters.
