FIELD: foundry, namely production of small-size thin-wall castings of chemically active metals and alloys of titanium and zirconium used, mainly in stomatology for making dentures and other structures in nano-technology and in machine engineering for making fine size articles.
SUBSTANCE: plant includes working chamber in upper portion of which electrode holder with cathode electrode is fixed; crucible with crucible holder; casting mold; gas-evacuation system. Cathode electrode is in the form of water-cooled ring; it is mounted in water-cooled electrode holder along circle and spaced from crucible by the same distance sufficient for uniform distribution of heat energy necessary for heating, melting and overheating metal in crucible.
EFFECT: simplified manufacturing process of melting at high uniformity and purity due to high evacuation degree, possibility for non-limited overheating of metal without action of micro-arcs upon metal.
