FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, namely friction and wear testing, and can be used for testing of abrasive tools and processability of various materials, in particular, to tests of abrasive wheels used for grinding rails in track. Machine comprises a platform and specimen and counter-sample mounts installed on it, sample movement drive and measuring system containing angular velocity transducer and sample surface parameters registration unit connected via converter unit to computer. Machine is equipped with a counter-sample loading unit comprising a transverse movement mechanism relative to the longitudinal axis of the samples, a loading mechanism, vertical and transverse positioning sensors, strain gauges and angular velocity measuring transducer connected via converter unit to computer, as well as output shaft for fixing counter-sample having possibility of rotation due to friction forces at contact with specimen surfaces.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the machine, which enable to simulate processes of surface-free grinding of the surface.
