FIELD: friction force measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to testing equipment for tribological testing of lubricating and structural devices. A device for measuring friction force contains a frame with an electric motor driving the shaft, a bath for lubricant, an axis carrying a lever that loads the ring with a given force, a cylindrical roller in the lever, resting in the force transmission plane with its lateral surface on a bearing unit mounted in the lever and a ring fixed on the shaft, and with one of the end surfaces on a force measuring sensor located in the body of the lever. It contains a thrust washer, a clamping cover and a screw, and the thrust washer is located on the shaft seating area between its surface for the stop and the end surface of the ring, the height of the clamping cover section contacting with the end surface of the ring to ensure fixation of the ring on the shaft seating section is coordinated with the length of the seating section of the shaft and the width of the ring, and the thickness of the thrust washer is assigned, in turn, based on the condition of a multiple of the width of the wear track on the outer surface of the ring.

EFFECT: increase of reliability of friction force measurement results while minimizing testing costs.
