FIELD: manufacture of engines; diagnosing of diesel engine fuel systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes estimation of technical state of diesel engine fuel system, determination of parameters of change of fuel pressure in delivery main in the course of injection of fuel and comparison of parameters thus obtained with standard ones. Parameters are determined by magnitude of pulses of wave induced by oscillations of high-pressure fuel pipe line through compressed liquid medium by means of single recording device simultaneously for all components under test.

EFFECT: reduced labor input; enhanced controllability of diagnosing process.
