FIELD: transportation; physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostics of low-pressure loop (LPL) of automotive diesel engine in the absence of standard and reference values of diagnostic parameters of LPL. Diagnostic method of LPL includes measurement of current values of such diagnostic parameters, as supply, capacity, vacuum, current and maximum pressure of fuel equipped with mechanical fuel sub-pump LPL at any specified frequency of rotation of crankshaft (CS), as well as feed, capacity, rarefaction, operating and maximum fuel pressure equipped with electric fuel sub-pump LPL, determination of design values of said LPL parameters at the corresponding preset rotation speed CS and their comparison with measured current values of diagnostic parameters.

EFFECT: provides simple and fast determination of technical diagnosis of LPL.
