FIELD: food-processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: extrusion die has set of pipes arranged in parallel with one another. Each of said pipes is manufactured by applying of two plates held together by means of clamps. Plates and clamps are equipped at their opposite sides with respective grooves which are arranged so as to face one another for defining pipes on plates interface surface. Method involves producing expanded cereal products having single body in the form of mass of adjoining expanded fibers by cooking starch-containing substance, sugar, water and butter; extruding and expanding under pressure through die. Resultant product may be used as breakfast.
EFFECT: simplified and quick preparing of cereal products formed as mass of fibers, and improved quality of expanded cereal products.
