FIELD: medicine; X-ray diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: disturbance of structure and position of disc of mandibular joint can be found. To visualize joint disc, area of joint is subject to ultrasonic scanning by linear electron detector at frequency of 7,5-12 MHz sequent in horizontal plane at inclination of 45 degrees down and in two frontal planes in front of joint's head at inclination of 45 degrees and at the back side of joint at angle of 45 degrees back at positions when mouth of patient is shut, half-open and completely open. Method allows visualization of disc at quiescent state and at different positions of lower jaw and to estimate disturbances in location of disc in joint and changes in its structure.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation.
