FIELD: metal working, working elongated low-rigidity axially symmetrical bodies of revolution.
SUBSTANCE: cutter includes cutting portion with rectangular cross-section holder having self-oscillating system with "groove-wedge" joint. In order to enhance accuracy and efficiency of working said joint is provided on each face of holder across its axis in interval between adjacent faces. Grooves of joint have triangular cross section and in vertical faces of holder they are arranged in one plane of cross section, in horizontal faces of holder they are arranged in different planes of cross section. Wedges are elastically deformed and they are fixed in grooves by means of clamps arranged in frame embracing holder contour and having triangular cross section stops whose apexes are laid on horizontal faces of holder in different planes of cross section. Wedges are cylindrical and(or) hollow ones and they have cavities filled with viscous filler and sealed at both ends.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of working.
