FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed windmill rotor has vertical shaft with vanes on outer surface, vanes being made with increasing radial dimensions in height of rotor. According to invention rotor vanes are installed over spiral so that end of each following vane on upper level of rotor overlaps beginning of preceding vane on lower level of rotor.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of utilization of wind flow in rotors orientated vertical at moderate velocities of wind.
