FIELD: engines and pump.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power engineering, particularly to windmill rotors that convert wind energy into rotor rotation. Windmill rotor comprises vertical shaft and arc-like wing-profile vanes fitted on the former and furnished with elastic-material hollow elements located all over the vane edges to be filled with gas on the wind take-up side and discharged-released on the side directed against wind. Rotor vanes have assemblies arranged at appropriate level to joint them to the shaft. Aforesaid assemblies can feature limitation of the vane displacement over the shaft only from below, only from above, or from below and from above. Shaft and/or vanes can be solid or hollow. Hollow element gas filling source can be represented by stationary compressors, compressed air cylinders or active receivers wherein required surplus gas pressure is generated by controlled micro blasts of powder charges or burning controlled amount of the latter.

EFFECT: higher efficiency with no increase in costs and weight.
