FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: rotor with cup-like wind-perceiving elements comprises a crosspiece fixed on a vertical shaft and wind-perceiving elements at the ends of the crosspiece made of torus sectors. One of cross sections of the sector remains open, and the second one is moulded onto a wing with increasing angle of attack the further the element section is from the axis of rotation. Crosspieces may be mounted on two and more levels of the shaft depending on how many pairs of elements the initial circular torus is divided.
EFFECT: increased reliability and resource of operation of support units of installation by means of reduced axial load due to a lifting force developed on the wing.
