FIELD: plant growing, in particular, preparing of various crop seeds for planting.

SUBSTANCE: planting material includes seed or sprout at different development stages, said seed or sprout being enclosed in enclosure consisting of mixture of components necessary for each stage at initial period of plant development, said components being used in the following ratio, wt%: organic and mineral nutritive substances 35-60; filler 10-35; binder 1-2.5; water the balance. Component particle sizes are within the range of 0.1-5 mm. Maximum water loss of component mixture is 10-60%. According to first version, method for producing of planting material involves placing seed and components necessary for each stage at initial period of plant development into hollow capsule of gelatin, or water-permeable polymer, or water-soluble polymer, or substrate of organic nutrient medium, or into bag made from nonwoven material. According to second version, method involves sequentially applying number of layers onto seed, first layer including binder, main layer or layers including nutritive mixture, filler and binder, and outer layer including filler and binder. Method for preparing of planting material for planting involves, 5-20 days before planting procedure, soaking capsule carrying within it seed and components necessary for initial period of plant development with water until moisture content in capsule mass is 30-70%; holding capsule at air humidity of 50-90% and at temperature of 20-40 C until sprout is formed and root system is created within capsule.

EFFECT: optimal conditions for plant development owing to forming of enclosures of various compositions for various crop seeds and regulation of water-and-air mode depending on soil composition and natural conditions.
