FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building and can be used in machining materials by milling, turning or borin. Cutting tool comprises body and a polygonal cutting plate fitted in recess gear axial at end of body. Lower surface of plate has multiple parallel teeth which are engaged with corresponding teeth of socket. Teeth extend across longitudinal axis to counteract axial forces during processing. Socket is formed directly by body of cutting tool or shim located under plate. Shim has a protrusion directed downwards for transfer of axial forces on cutting tool body and can be square or triangular, wherein teeth are arranged in form of a plurality of groups of parallel teeth arranged adjacent to corresponding cutting edges.
EFFECT: efficient counteracting of axial forces during processing of various materials.
