FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on seat of vehicle, for instance, locomotive driver's seat. Proposed vehicle seat fore-and-aft adjuster has base, movable platform, guides, rolling members and it is furnished with locking mechanism secured on platform provided with longitudinal guide axle. Fixing holes are made on base, being arranged in row. Guide of base are made in form of longitudinal plates arranged in parallel and rigidly secured, along which rolling members secured on movable platform roll, and bracket with hole into which guide axle of movable platform gets. Locking mechanism has housing in which rod with spring-loaded pedal, lock, rocker and horizontal shaft are mounted. Rod and lock are fitted in hole of housing for vertical displacement. Rocker is installed of horizontal shaft for turning and engaging by one end with spring-loaded rod and by other end, with lock fitted in fixing holes of base. Housing is provided with support surface with slanted faces in central part to limit turning of rocker. Said slanted faces are tilted at angle relative to each other so that apex of angle in section adjoins lower surface of rocker being arranged on its axis of symmetry.
EFFECT: simplified design, provision of no-drive adjustment of seat position within wide range of displacements, reliability and convenience in operation.
