FIELD: chemical industry; environmental protection; methods of production of the calcium carbide.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of chemical industry and environmental protection. The solid household wastes, for example, the paper, the board, the wood, the leather, plastic material, textile are subjected to the pyrolysis. The pyrolysis products with the contents of the volatile components of 4-10 mass % and the ash content of no more than 6 mass % are used as the carbon reducing agent at the lime smelting in the electrothermal furnace. The melting is conducted in the mode of the resistance furnace at the specific density of the current on the electrode of 1.5-2.0 А/cm2 with utilization of the hollow electrodes. The liquid melt is subjected to cooling in the furnace with the following extraction. ContentsofСаС2 is 85 mass %, the liter capacity is up to 316 l/kg. The invention allows to improve ecology by utilization of the solid household wastes and to eliminate formation of the chloroorganic compounds during the melting process and reduction of the process duration.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the improved ecology by utilization of the solid household wastes and by elimination of formation of the chloroorganic compounds during the melting process and reduction of the process duration.
