FIELD: gas-turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for life-saving operation of gas-turbine engine with respect to technical condition of its flow circuit depending on maximum admissible fault rate within service period includes temperature measurement at turbine inlet in the course of its life period, engine speed, its operating time on duty, and periodic check of engine gas-air circuit to detect fault in engine parts. Prior to starting the engine fault rate of weakest life-controlling part is tested under i conditions for normal running within an hour. Total fault rate is evaluated during periodic condition inspection of engine gas-air circuit and results are compared with maximum admissible fault rate; if there are no remarks on scheduled maintenance operations, total fault rate is evaluated as sum of all faults found in the course of periodic check. Engine service life is extended in case difference between maximum admissible fault rate and total fault rate is lower than maximal total fault rate within one of operating periods.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of engine fault rate evaluation results.
