FIELD: ultrasound flaw detection of wheel pairs of rail transport.
SUBSTANCE: scanning device with transformers is held in tub with contact liquid, on wheel being checked a mark of beginning of angular coordinate is made and direction of rotation of wheel pair is set, wheel pair is rotated in given direction for K revolutions relatively to immobile scanning device, registered simultaneously is angular coordinate of detachable mark relatively to scanning device, recorded are angular coordinates and amplitudes of received signals, then amplitudes of received signals with angular coordinate different for integer number of full revolutions (2Π), added together, and presence of unacceptable flaw is evaluated on basis of excess of rejection level of total signal, equal to K×Nrj., where K - number of revolutions made by wheel pair, Nrj. - amplitude of signal from unacceptable flaw during adjustment of flaw detector for level of rejection sensitivity.
EFFECT: increased productiveness and trustworthiness of ultrasound control of wheels of railroad train.
