FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment. The method includes mutual displacement of transmitting and receiving ultrasonic converters relative to a controlled item, sending ultrasonic waves via the item and detection of internal defects in the material by analysis of distortions of the ultrasonic signal that has passed via the item material, at the same time using a scanning system they move the item relative to ultrasonic converters. Prior to ultrasonic control they measure dimensions of a defect minimum for this item, such as disturbed solidity of the material in the following manner: the investigated item in the area of estimated location of the defect area is cut into equal samples, at the ends of samples they measure opening δ of defects reaching the ends with the pitch Δd, which are wittingly smaller than the dimensions of the minimum defect, they perform layer preparation of samples, after preparation they measure the area of defect sections that belong to the appropriate opening δ, they calculate and build the experimental dependence of density of the defect area on value of opening. On the basis of built experimental dependences with account of the corridor of the trusted interval calculated with the specified probability with account of varying accuracy of conducted measurements, they define area or specific size dmin and opening δmin of the minimum defect for the item. Further they define the pitch of scanning ΔYmin of the item surface, in which the necessary error is provided for error of measurement of the minimum defect. Movement of the item relative to converters is carried out with this pitch.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increased validity of results of ultrasonic control from polymer composite materials of shape of revolution solids.
