FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises stationary bed with supports for wheel pair, Drive with friction roller, immersion baths arranged vertically below rotational axis of tested wheel pair and its supports, and two scanning devices with piezo electric transducers. Note here that said piezo electric transducers are secured by vertical and inclined posts on the platform arranged in immersion bath and on coordinate system suspension. Note also that vertical posts of angular orientation consist of lower support fixed on said platform and upper holder with piezoelectric transducer seat. Upper holder is arranged in position to orient piezoelectric transducer at 65° to 72° to controlled wheel surface plane at the point of ultrasound input. Inclined post of piezoelectric transducer angular orientation directed onto wheel rolling surface is inclined at 83° to 87° to horizontal platform and spaced 0.85-1.15 of wheel rim width from nearest vertical posts.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of ultrasound tests.
