METHOD FOR PREDICTING MECHANISMS OF VENTRICULAR EXTRASYSTOLIA Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B5/452

Abstract RU 2294138 C2

FIELD: medicine, cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to register electrocardiogram to detect preectopic interval (PEI) of ventricular extrasystolia (VE). Moreover, at detecting monomorphous VE at PEI range being below or equal 10% at least in 10 extrasystolic complexes one should predict reentry mechanism. At registering monomorphous VE at PEI range being above or equal 10% at least in 10 extrasystolic complexes or polymorphous extrasystolia one should diagnose the mechanism of delayed postdepolarization. PEI range should be calculated by the following formula: where PEI - preectopic interval in %; PEImax, PEImin - maximal, minimal preectopic VE interval in sec; PEIav. - average preectopic VE interval in sec; RRsr - RR interval of sinus rhythm before extrasystole in sec. The innovation enables to shorten the terms for detecting mechanisms of ventricular extrasystolia and considerably decrease labor intensity for VE detection.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of diagnostics.
