METHOD FOR SELECTING AN EFFECTIVE ANTIARRHYTHMIC AGENT FOR PATIENTS WITH PREMATURE HEART BEATS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/02

Abstract RU 2707261 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to cardiology. Antiarrhythmic drugs to be tested are repeatedly applied to the patient, before each of the antiarrhythmic preparations under test, and after the beginning of their action, defined as half-life of its half-elimination. That is followed by ECG examination and determining the corrected pre-ectopic interval (PEIcor) linear deviation (LD) separately for left- and right ventricular premature heart beats (LVP and RVP), supraventricular premature heart beats (SP) in at least 20 extrasystoles. That is followed by calculating a premature heart beats index (PI), taking into account these parameters, then – ΔPI and with increase in values ΔPI≥2 units after at least two sequential preparations of the preparation, tested antiarrhythmic drug is evaluated as effective for patients with extrasystole.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the time of selecting one or more effective antiarrhythmic preparations for the patients with extrasystole.
