FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of articles including parts of iron and its alloys operating in aggressive media.
SUBSTANCE: part has coating formed by micro-plasma oxidation on sub-layer containing aluminum. Said sub-layer includes layer of solid solution of aluminum in α-iron formed by aluminizing of part surface and layer of alumina formed by heating at temperature 800 - 900°C in air atmosphere of aluminized surface of part. Invention provides enlarged range of working temperatures of parts subjected to micro-plasma oxidation till 900°C.
EFFECT: elimination of iron oxides formation in micro-plasma coating of steel and cast-iron parts, enlarged assortment of parts with micro-plasma coating operating in condition of high temperature and gas corrosion.
