SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacture of large volume parts of material with small specific weight, for instance, blades of windmills. Casting made of foamed metal, specific weight less than I g/cu.cm has porosite of 75 -92 % of its volume. It can be made of aluminum or its alloys and can consists of metal outer rim and porous core, density of 0.23-0.75 g/cu.cm.

EFFECT: enlarged nomenclature of castings in mechanical engineering, facilitated production of large-size articles with small specific weight of material, reduced cost of manufacture.
