FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining strength of engagement of cover with substrate includes tearing of pin end from cover, applied to working surface of matrix and end of pin, inserted flush into conical aperture in matrix. After application of glue layer onto external surface of cover, compressing of same by means of coupling nut till full wetting of internal surface of coupling nut with glue and hardening of glue, normal tear-off force is applied to pin and coupling nut. For that purpose device is used consisting of matrix with conic aperture and inserted flush into this aperture of pin. Cover is applied onto working surface of matrix and onto end of pin, on the side of which coupling nut is screwed onto matrix to full contact with glue layer, applied to upper surface of cover. Pin may be either conic or cylindrical.

EFFECT: decreased probability of cut destruction along across thickness of cover along perimeter of pin, resulting in increased precision when determining strength of connection.
