SUBSTANCE: marks are made with use die. It is possible to change mark by changing die but such procedure needs long time period. Method and apparatus according to invention allow make individual marking on substrate at rather small expenses for equipment. In one variant of invention apparatus for applying mark onto substrate, mainly on film includes replication device and laser apparatus engaging with replication device as irradiation for making at least one molding zone is directed at least on one irradiated zone of replication device. Apparatus includes reciprocal pressing device; substrate is arranged between replication device and reciprocal pressing device for molding on substrate mold zone in contact area of replication device and substrate. Irradiation for forming mold zones is supplied outside substrate.

EFFECT: lowered-cost apparatus for marking substrate without changing die during short time period.
