METHOD FOR BUILDING WELLS WITH REMOTE FACE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E21B7/04 

FIELD: extraction of oil-gas deposits by means of wells with remote face, possible usage for extracting oil and gas from formations, located at significant distance from well mouth below water protection zone on dry land, river waters and continental platform, including operations under arctic sea conditions.

SUBSTANCE: method for building wells with remote face, primarily during extraction of oil-gas deposits, located below water protection zone or arctic shelf waters, includes construction, at acceptable distance from shoreline, of bore pit with setting of direction in it, driving from it in planned azimuth at minimal allowed distance from surface of earth and/or bottom of water or along water body, by trench or trench-less method, of horizontal well section for horizontal direction with length, providing for following drilling at given zenith angle of directional well borehole until opening productive formation in planned point. During driving of well, a tube bundle is laid down or tugged through, which pipes are horizontal direction elements, and also conductors and casing strings. Aforementioned tube bundle ends with section bent downwardly at given zenith angle, curvature angle of which matches trajectory of aforementioned directional well borehole section.

EFFECT: creation of method for building a well during extraction of hard to reach deposits, located dozens of kilometers deep inside nature protection zones and territories, forbidden or inaccessible for construction of drilling equipment, providing for driving of well in rock of any hardness, including unstable rock, and rock prone to chute and cave-inputs, increased remoteness of mouth from extraction object due to prevented drilling of extensive sub-horizontal section to reach productive formation.
