FIELD: treatment of blanks by high-energy beams, namely method for modifying blank structure, method for preparing blank in the form of one part for joining with one or more additional blanks, method for joining blanks, possibly in different branches of machine engineering and instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: method of modifying blank structure comprises first step for relatively moving high-power beam and blank 1 in such a way that to melt zone 3 of blank 1; shifting melt material for forming protrusion 2 in one portion of zone 3 and opening 4 in other portion of zone 3; providing at least partial crystallization of material; then repeating first step one or more times. Area corresponding to each repetition of first step crosses zone 3 of first step.
EFFECT: possibility for producing blank with surface of different structure and for modifying structure in volume of blank.
