SUBSTANCE: polythioether-based polymers and curable polymer compositions are described as well as preparation thereof and use in sealing materials, wherein polythioether-based polymers and curable polymer compositions are liquid at temperature 20°C or below. Polymer according to invention includes following segment: -A-[-A-(CH₂)₂-R₂-(CH₂)₂-S-A-]_n- (I), wherein A is independently selected from -R¹-S-R⁴-R⁵-CH(OH)-CH₂-S-R¹ (IIa) and -R¹- (IIb) (both radicals are defined in patent claims), where IIa/IIb weight ratio lies within a range of about 2:1 to 3:1.
