FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, namely methods for combination finishing-strengthening treatment of steel parts, alloy parts by means of electric thermal surface plastic deforming at static-pulse loading of tool.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of loading tool normally to treated surface with static load and cyclic pulse load; using tool having striker and wave-guide ( both are in the form of rods of the same diameters) and deforming roller secured to free end of wave-guide; supplying electric current from low voltage source to deforming tool and to blank by means of electric current supply roller; applying to electric current supply roller static load having opposite sign and value equal to that of said static load applied to deforming tool. Electric current supply roller is mounted opposite relative to deforming roller.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, improved quality of treated surface, enhanced efficiency of treatment.
