FIELD: underwater shipbuilding; non-watertight submersible vehicle buoyancy control systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed buoyancy control system includes buoyancy tank filled with adjustable volume of gas and water; buoyancy tank is communicating with compressed gas source; buoyancy tank is provided with valves for delivery and discharge of compressed gas. Buoyancy tank is made in form of cylinder with piston dividing the gas and water spaces and rod. Piston is spring-loaded on side of gas space and is fitted on rod for motion together with hollow travel cylinder rigidly connected with piston. Outer surface of rod is provided with bead dividing the cavities of travel cylinder and inside the rod there are passages for delivery of compressed gas to each cavity of travel cylinder to the right and to the left from bead. Proposed system ensures automatic compensation for any change in buoyancy by using the compressed air energy, thus excluding necessity of manual control of buoyancy.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; automation of buoyancy.
