FIELD: powder metallurgy; copper-based composite self-lubricating materials; metalworking and paper industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed self-lubricating material for friction units is produced by sintering the powder composition containing copper powder, 100-160 mcm in size, granules of copper-clad graphite, 160-200 mcm in size in the amount of 16-17 mass-% at content of copper in copper-clad graphite granules of 70-75 mass-%, granules of copper-clad polymer, 50-200 mcm in size in the amount of 7-9 mass-% at content of copper in copper-clad polymer of 50-60 mass-%; granules of copper-clad lead, 50-160 mcm in size in the amount of 5-7 mass-% at content of copper in copper-clad lead granules of 20-30 mass-% and granules of copper-clad tin, 20-40 mcm in size in the amount of 3-5 mass-% at content of copper in copper-clad tine of 10-20 mass-%.
EFFECT: reduction of friction coefficient; increased tensile strength; increased service life of material in friction units.
